Job Description
Dr. Ellen Richie in the Department of Epigenetics and Molecular Carcinogenesis at MD Anderson Cancer Center invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship focusing on identifying cellular and molecular mechanisms of thymus development and involution as well as crosstalk between thymic epithelial cells and thymocytes. These studies will utilize state-of-the-art image analysis, flow cytometry, single cell RNAseq and biochemical techniques to achieve these goals.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The research environment is highly interactive and interdisciplinary with collaborations ongoing within the institution and with world-class experts at other institutions. The postdoctoral fellow will learn to work independently as well as collaboratively to advance their career development. Opportunities to network with members of the research community will be provided by frequent interactions with collaborating labs and by presentations given at national and international conferences. The training experience will provide the postdoctoral fellow the laboratory expertise, writing and speaking skills to establish and independent laboratory in academia or industry.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should have been awarded the PhD degree within the past two years in the field of immunology and should be self-motivated, innovative, trustworthy, careful and diligent in their research performance.
POSITION INFORMATION
MD Anderson follows the NIH stipend levels as outlined by the Kirchstein - NRSA. This full-time trainee position will provide a salary between $56,484 to $68,604, dependent upon the years of postgraduate experience.
